Breast CT gives high resolution, high contrast images of each breast, offering a different way to look at breast tissue. Breast CT pictures go all the way to the chest wall and can be used in women of all sizes. Breast CT is performed without any compression, and radiation doses are comparable to 2D/3D mammography. The test is useful for screening, diagnosis, pre-surgical planning, and is also an excellent way to image women with breast implants.
